This is an abbreviated newsletter but it is filled with important information, reminders, and specific details that you may find helpful.
BOOK FAIR: The Book Fair continues on through Friday of this week. While PreKers do not visit as a class, you are welcome to take them during the hours listed below. In addition, Mrs. Hornyak will be there Wednesday and Thursday at 12:30 and there will also be time on Friday for your child's grandparent or special friend to take them.
Wednesday: 8-9 a.m., 2:45-4:30 p.m.
Thursday: 8-9 a.m., 2:45-3:45 p.m.
Friday @ GSFD: 8-11:30 a.m.
GRANDPARENTS & SPECIAL FRIENDS DAY: As you know, this Friday, May 10th is Grandparents and Special Friends Day. Here is a copy of the schedule as a reminder.
- 8:00 - 8:15 Regular arrival for students
- 8:15 - 9:00 Guest arrival, registration, light breakfast in DeFrancis Gym
- 9:00 - 9:50 Head of School welcome, band and chorus performances
- 10:00 Guests escorted to classrooms
- 10:00 - 11:15 Classroom visit
- 11:15 (ish) Dismissal begins- students and guests can go to the Book Fair
- 11:30 End of GSFD, dismissal for all
- 11:30 - 5:00 Owl's Nest available (please email Kerry Orshal to register)
REMEMBER THAT YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE EATING LUNCH AT SCHOOL.
PLEASE SEND IN THEIR MORNING SNACK AS USUAL.
In addition, (if you have not already done so) please be sure to confirm with either Mrs. Halsey or myself the names and the number of guests who will be attending on Friday, along with who your child will be going home with.
FIELD TRIP TO GRASS ISLAND: Thank you to all who have returned permission slips for our upcoming field trip next Monday. We still have a few outstanding and, as a reminder, we will need them in order for your child to go. Remember to refer to last week’s newsletter for all the specific information you need. Let’s hope for a beautiful day!
